Rev. Arlo James Feiock, 85, of Thief River Falls, MN formerly of Bemidji, MN died Monday, April 18, 2022 with his family by his side at North Star Manor in Warren, MN.
Arlo was born Dec. 4, 1936 in Ipswich, South Dakota, the son of Edward and Lila (Stockert) Feiock. He was baptized in Ipswitch, SD. The family later moved to North Dakota and then Aberdeen, SD where he attended junior high and high school.
He graduated high school in 1954 and then attended Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD where he received a Bachelor of Science in Music Education. He was a fullback on the Augusta Viking football team, played trombone, and directed the Northlander’s Dance band. He was the vice president of the Augustana senior class, homecoming king, and a member of the All State Band.
On July 27, 1958, he was united in marriage to Virginia Herrboldt in Aberdeen, SD. They then moved to Phoenix, AZ. In the fall of 1961, he enrolled at Luther Theological Seminary in St. Paul and graduated with a masters of Divinity in 1965. Arlo enjoyed spending time with his family, riding his motorcycle, running, traveling in his motorhome, pontooning on the Northern most point of the Mississippi river with his wife, family, and friends and serving others in the name of Jesus.
Anywhere there was free coffee, ice cream, and his wife Ginger, is where you would find Arlo. Arlo had the heart of a servant and loved to make people laugh. Arlo was one of a kind and a real character, a man of integrity who lived life to its fullest by tackling every adventure that he could. He was a good listener, which was evident in the many meaningful relationships and the lives he touched.
