Raymond Rolend Demmon, 93, Nevis, MN passed away Thursday, May 18, 2022 at the Frazee Care Center in Frazee, MN.

Raymond was born January 8, 1929 in Wadena, MN to Rolend and Leora (Brown) Demmon. He attended school in Nevis. In 1949, he entered the U.S. Army and attained the rank of sergeant before his honorable discharge in 1951.

On February 28, 1954 he was united in marriage to Margaret Schilman in Akeley, MN. They were blessed with 4 children, David, Linda, Kathleen and Steven.

Raymond worked for John Bender Farms, then began a 33 year career with North States, retiring in 1991.

Raymond enjoyed gardening and fishing. He loved his family and loved spending time with them.

Raymond is survived by his wife of 68 years, Margaret of Nevis, MN; children, David (Joan) Demmon of Park Rapids, MN, Linda (Victor) Machen of Merrifield, MN, Kathleen (Dave) Rowe of Motley, MN, Steven (Danni Lafferty) of Menahga, MN; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; and brother, Robert (Shirley) Demmon of Nevis, MN.

He is preceded in death by his father, Rolend Demmon; mother, Leora Ohnstad; brother, Norman Demmon; and sister, Lois Cross.
