Phyllis Joanne Mudrick (Jack)

Phyllis (Jack) Mudrick, age 89, of Stacy, Minnesota passed away on March 28, 2022 at Meadows of Fairview in Wyoming, Minnesota. Phyllis was born in St. Paul to Carl and Alma Jack. Phyllis was born and raised along the Mississippi River in Lilydale, MN. She graduated from Humboldt High School in St. Paul. After high school she worked for the State of Minnesota and then the railroad.

Phyllis married Donald “Don” Mudrick on January 18, 1958. They moved to Stacy where Phyllis became a homemaker for many years. She enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. Phyllis loved to bake. Cookies and bars were always available. The granddaughters fondly remember Phyllis’ fresh baked banana bread and dinner rolls. In 1986 Phyllis went to work in the mail department of PMC, Inc. in Stacy until her retirement. Camping was enjoyed by Don and Phyllis, but Phyllis was happiest at home.

Phyllis is survived by son Mark (Terese) and daughter Cathy (Joel) Steinmueller. Phyllis loved being a Grandmother and was blessed with five Granddaughters: Abbey (Adam) Borowicz, Ashley (Jim) Rue, Alissa (Brad) Jensen, Catelyn (Rufino) Rodriguez and Courtney (Jordan DeJong) Steinmueller. She had such joy during visits from her seven great grandchildren: Jack, Avery, Alivia, Ollie, Lily, Harper and Rylee. More recently she was excited to share the news of another great granddaughter coming July 2022. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband Donald, parents, sister Shirley Walters and brother Carl.

A family burial celebration will take place at the Stacy Cemetery.
