life story

Phyllis Eileen Brandt went home to Jesus early morning on April 3, 2025 after a hard fought battle with cancer...she was a warrior.

Phyllis was born on January 17, 1955 to Lloyd and Corrine Persson in Minneapolis. She was baptized at Spring Lake Park. She grew up and attended grade school in Nelson, MN. She was Confirmed at Fahlun Lutheran Church, Nelson, MN. Phyllis graduated from Jefferson Sr High School in Alexandria in 1973.

Phyllis made her way to Mpls, found work, met friends, and met David Brandt. Phyllis and Dave were married on June 8, 1991 in Alexandria.

Phyllis loved the State Fair and her cats. She had good friends and family, but it was her church family from Celebration Church and Hosanna Church that she saw weekly that have been a true gift from God for her and Dave....Thank you for your love and friendship.

Phyllis is survived by her husband David Brandt. Dave's siblings Gary (Colleen) Brandt from Rothsay, MN, Roger (Judith) Brandt, Charlotte, NC, Dennis (Valerie) Brandt, Phoenix, AZ. Phyllis' siblings, Jill Crooker, Chicago, IL, Charles (Dee) Persson, Menoken, ND, Joyce Wilson, St Cloud, MN, Lolly (LeRay) Stratton, Underwood, MN, and Morris (Julie) Persson, Rapid City, SD. She is also survived by her Aunt Irene Hundtoft, her nieces and nephews, and many cousins and dear friends.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Corrine Persson, brother-in-law Gary Wilson, and David parents Dale and Irene Brandt, and Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

A memorial service will be held at the Celebration Church, 16655 Kenyon Ave., Lakeville, MN 55044.
