Phyllis Diane Meyer, age 80, passed away August 2, 2026.

Phyllis was born March 6, 1946, to Sina (Johnson) and David Christensen in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. Phyllis graduated from Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls and Business School in St. Paul.

Phyllis married George Joseph Meyer on January 18, 1969, and celebrated 37 years of marriage together before his death in 2006. They had two children. Paula in 1972 and Jason in 1975. They first made their home in St. Paul and then Oakdale.

Phyllis was the secretary at Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church in St. Paul for many years. Phyllis enjoyed doing day care in their home for over 30 years before retiring. Phyllis and George were active members of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Oakdale, MN.

Phyllis enjoyed camping, canoeing, cooking, quilting for family, making blankets for Project Linus, reading, and in her later years she loved to do puzzles and play cribbage and canasta. Phyllis was quick to make friends and will be missed by many Oak Meadows residents and staff.

Phyllis is survived by children Paula (Jeff) Kwiatkowski, Jason Meyer; two grandchildren, Caitlin (Jake) Anderson and Lexi Kwiatkowski and great granddaughter, Juniper Anderson. Along with sister Sharon (Roger) Quern, brother-in-law Phil Pulver and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents David & Sina, in-laws George Sr. & Anna Cathrine, sister-in-law Anna Catherine Pulver and nephew Tom.

Internment at Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN.
