Celebrating the Life of Phil Geveshausen: A Heart Full of Joy and Laughter

A man of many adventures, stories, and love.

Phil Geveshausen, a man whose warm heart and unwavering kindness touched the lives of many, passed away at 7:45pm on April 14th 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion that will never be forgotten.

For three decades, Phil dedicated his life to the safety and well-being of children as a school bus driver with the Edmonds School District and was also a retired member of the U.S. Navy. His dedication and kind nature made him beloved by all who knew him.

Phil's greatest joy in life was his family. His children, Jayson (42), Bonnie (36), and Dustin (34), held a special place in his heart, and his love only grew with the arrival of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In 2018, Phil and his beloved wife Robin expanded their family even further by adopting their grandson, Donovan Geveshausen, in the state of Washington.

Phil's love of life was evident in his collection of Garfield the cat memorabilia, his passion for the outdoors, and his devotion to sports, particularly football. While not driving a school bus, He spent his early years driving the summer camp bus for the Shoreline YMCA part-time, always willing to lend a helping hand in singing songs, and making sure the kids made it to their outings safe.

Phil's infectious sense of humor and warm smile were a source of comfort and joy to all who knew him. His wisdom and positivity were a guiding light to those around him, and his memory will forever be cherished by those he touched.

Phil leaves behind his loving wife Robin, children Jayson, Bonnie, and Dustin, his sister Julie Geveshausen, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including his beloved grandson Donovan.

A celebration of Phil's life will be held on May 2nd, 2023, at Maple Park Lutheran Church (17620 60th Ave W, Lynnwood, WA 98037) from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm. All are welcome to join in honoring a man who lived his life with kindness, compassion, and joy, leaving an indelible imprint on the world around him, and whose legacy will live on through those he loved and the lives he touched.
