Great husband, son, brother, father and teacher

Peter "Pete" Fuglestad, age 59, passed away on August 18, 2025, in North Oaks, Minnesota. He went home to be with the Lord after battling carcinoid cancer for over a decade.

Born October 1, 1965, in Minneapolis, Pete had a lifelong passion for science and teaching. As a 1989 graduate of Concordia College in Moorhead, he spent 26 years inspiring students as a science teacher at Stillwater Middle School, retiring in 2021. His hands-on approach and love of nature made learning an adventure for all.

Pete enjoyed camping, astronomy, snake hunting, fishing, and sharing the outdoors with his children. He also loved synthesizers and flying RC helicopters. Above this, he cherished time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Denise; children, Luke and Kelsey; parents, Edson Vercel and Marcia Fuglestad; and five siblings. He held close to the legacy of his grandparents: Edson and Clara Fuglestad, and Edwin and Rosella Pearson.

A memorial service will be held on September 5, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Waverly Gardens Chapel, 5919 Centerville Road, North Oaks. Visitation begins at 2:00 PM, with refreshments to follow the service.
