Peter Jay Laramy

Peter Jay Laramy February 21, 1953 – April 14, 2026

Peter Jay Laramy, age 73, of Chanhassen, MN, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2026. A man

of profound faith and a generous heart, Peter’s life was defined by his devotion to his family,

his community, and his Lord.

Peter was a proud graduate of Cretin High School, Class of 1971, and continued his education at

the College of St. Thomas. For 28 years, he served as the President of Laramy Sales, where he

was a respected figure in the paint and hardware industry. Outside of his professional life, Peter

was a devoted member of Grace Church. He was perhaps best known for the joy he brought to

others, particularly during the holiday season when he took great delight in portraying Santa

Claus for children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Rita Laramy. He is survived by his beloved

wife, Lynn; his siblings, Kathy (Rich) Glynn, William (Kathy) Laramy, Mary (Mike) Dupay,

Elizabeth (Jim) Georgantones, John Laramy (Susan Mills Casey) and Sister-in-Law Dale Swenson;

13 nieces and nephews; 17 great-nieces and nephews; and many dear relatives and friends,

including Jeanne Laramy.

Services: Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 28th, at Grace Church,

9301 Eden Prairie Rd, Eden Prairie, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Memorials are preferred.
