Pauline (Jorgenson) Suko

life story

Pauli Suko of Vadnais Heights, MN, passed away peacefully with family by her side, on January 6, 2025; one day after celebrating her 76th birthday.

Pauline Elsiea Jorgenson was born January 5,1949 in Jamestown, ND to Robert & Lorraine Jorgenson. She was raised in Ypsilanti, attended Ypsilanti grade school and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1967. After high school, Pauli worked at the Jamestown State Hospital before relocating to the greater Seattle area. She resided in Kent, WA from 1975 to 1997 where she and Bob Walz raised their daughters, Kristine and Lori . In 1998, she returned to the Midwest, living in Jamestown before settling in the greater St Paul, MN area.

Pauli loved spending time with family and friends. She was a dedicated mom, not only to her daughters but all of their friends; her home was filled with love, laughter & acceptance. She enjoyed entertaining and hosting parties where everyone was welcome. Pauli looked forward to vacations in the family camper, whether they were exploring the Pacific NW, attending festivals or taking summer road trips to ND. She loved music and dancing, especially with her father in the living room. Her pets meant the world to her; at times there were so many it was like a small personal zoo. Pauli appreciated antiques and was keeper of the family heirlooms. In later years, she enjoyed jigsaw and word puzzles, reading true crime stories, developed an interest in painting and drawing and loved her Minnesota Vikings. Skol!

Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love will be remembered and missed. Pauli was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, wife and cherished friend. She is lovingly remembered by daughters, Kris Walz (Ralph Buche) & Lori (Eric) Hanson; siblings, Elaine Jorgenson, Dave Jorgenson & Jon (Kristi) Jorgenson; grandkids, Tessa, Tucker, Spencer & Simon Hanson; extended family members, Kim, Larry, Olivia & Ryder Rodrigue, Katie, Mike, Nora & Mae O’Brien and Bob Walz; uncle, Dennis (Vicki) Brimer and numerous nieces, nephews & cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
