Paul Kriegler

November 23, 1959 – October 28, 2021

Lino Lakes, MN, USA

Paul Steven Kriegler, 61, passed away surrounded by his loving family in Lino Lakes, MN on October 28th, 2021. Paul, an avid sports enthusiast, grew up in Roseville, MN.

Paul was a lifelong learner with continuing education always a focus. Paul graduated from Alexander Ramsey High School in 1977, received his B.S. degree from Mankato State University and was a Certified Athletic Trainer. He earned his masters degree in Kinesiology from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Sports and athletics were not only his passions but also his vocation. Notably, Paul was the trainer for the Montreal Expos minor league baseball team, the UW Whitewater football team, Augsburg College, and the MN Fighting Pike Arena Football Team. Paul was named Athletic Trainer of the Year for the Institute of Athletic Medicine in 1993. A point of occupational pride for Paul, he was Caddy of the Year at Midland Hills Country Club when he was a teenager.

Paul helped the Red Cross procure bone and tissue for many medical procedures, flying to all points in the Upper Midwest at a moments notice.

Always confident, hard working and an independent soul, in 2003, Paul founded his own successful business, Kriegler Rehabilitation. He was a (QRC) Qualified Rehabilitation Consultant.

Personally, Paul was in excellent physical condition. He was routinely seen bicycling throughout the Twin Cities area to attend his children's sporting events. At the age of 53, he won the 2012 Minnesota State Squash Championship.

Unquestionably, Paul's greatest love was his family. Paul is survived by his one true love, his wife of 35 years, Lynn (Schlichting) whom he met through a mutual friend.

He is also survived by his beloved children Marie Kriegler of Phoenix, AZ and her fiance Michael Schoenfelder, Tony Kriegler and Mike Kriegler, both of Lino Lakes, MN; silblings Mary (John) Zesbaugh, Mike Kriegler, Pat Kriegler, John (Joann) Kriegler, and Bill (Carol) Kriegler. Many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his loving parents Herb and Betty Kriegler, his twin sister Peg Zuehl, and brothers Jim & Joe Kriegler.

Paul will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to know him. Paul would want his family and friends to be physically active, enjoy a competitive sport and most of all, as he did, enjoy life to its fullest.
