life story

A loving and doting mother and meemaw

Pattie Moll, 76 years old, passed away peacefully surrounded by many who loved her on February 27, 2025.

Much of Pattie's life was spent with a desire to be surrounded by family who loved her. When she married James Moll, they built a life together with great intention and effort to raise their 3 children Melody, Andrew, and Scott with unconditional love, support, and devotion. Having been raised in challenging experiences as children, Jim and Pattie made a promise to each other to give their children a childhood full of laughter and memories that will be forever cherished.

Pattie and her twin sister, Kennie gave the best gift by raising their families next door to each other. Cousins became more like siblings and the memories, pranks, and laughs were endless and still continue today. Pattie loved all of her nieces and nephews as if they were her own. She held a special place in her heart for Troy, Trevor, Tamara, Tyr, Lisa, Kristy, Judy, and Christina.

When Pattie became a Meemaw, she found even more love and devotion to give to her precious grandchildren, Nathaniel, Isabel, and Ariel. She cherished every minute with them and loved saying "making memories" whenever she did something silly or acted in classic Meemaw fashion. She shared this overwhelming amount of love with some of her grandnieces and nephews; Camren, Cooper, Trey, Tavi, Talon, Knox, Isabelle, Sebi, TT, and Maxi.

To know Pattie is to know her love of sports. She could easily share stats of NFL or MLB players especially the underdogs. She stayed a true fan to the Anaheim Angels and became overjoyed when her Denver Broncos finally started dominating! Her joy for sports carried over into her children and grandchildren's sporting events. Not only did she attend every game, you could hear her yelling the loudest "kick, kick, kick, kick" high up in the stadiums. Pattie was not only a spectator of sports, she was a participant; playing soccer and softball on Sundays while her children watched and cheered her on.

Pattie had a special connection and affliction for dogs especially her grand dogs, Rajah, Roka, Bowman, and Benny. She spent her older adult years dog sitting and dog walking and she took great pride in caring for others' pets hoping to give them peace of mind knowing their fur babies were well cared for by the one and only Meemaw!

Pattie became overjoyed when Pete, Katy, and Sharon added to her family and felt great comfort knowing her children were so loved by their significant others. She felt the same when Amy, Rocio, Dave, and Tara joined her family.

She leaves behind many family members and a lot of remarkable friends she has made throughout her life. Pattie moved to Chico 4 years ago and the community fell in love with her. From frequent lunch outings with Donna, concerts with Sonia, and football games with her Chico crew, many friendships were formed that will forever be cherished. Pattie remained close and adored her relationship with her high school best friend, Betty Douglass and good friend Mary (Bunkette) Burgoon.

Pattie left her mark in this world and has inspired all around her to love with all their hearts and to cherish time with family and friends. We will all carry a piece of her with us and are better having known and loved her and having been loved by her.
