Patrick John Grummert

Patrick John Grummert was born on July 16th, 1983, in Minneapolis, to John and Judy. He graduated from West Lutheran High School in 2002 and went on to obtain a degree in Network Administration from Dunwoody College of Technology.

After college, Patrick joined the United States Army, enlisting as a Private First Class and attaining the rank of Sergeant. During his 8 years of service, he saw two tours of active duty. First, in Afghanistan as part of the 75th Ranger Regiment and second, in Iraq, with the 82nd Airborne Division. Post military, he worked as a Service Technician and Project Manager for Nardini Fire Equipment of Minneapolis & St. Paul.

In his off time, he enjoyed sky diving and seeing the world through his many cruises. He stayed young at heart by assembling Lego sets, playing board games, and going to concerts, plays, and festivals. Patrick also had a great a love of baseball, which he shared with his wife Samantha, being a season ticket holder for the Minnesota Twins.

Patrick had a certain kindness, selflessness, and bravery. Touching the lives of many, as made evident by the overwhelming support in his fight against cancer. Patrick died at age 41, on Saturday, September 14th, 2024, after a long battle with Sarcoma. In his last days, he was able to come home and passed away peacefully surrounded by his friends and family, and his beloved cats, Flint and Apollo.

Patrick is survived in life by his wife Samantha Stanley, his parents John & Judy Grummert, his brother & sister-in-law Nathan and Staci Grummert, and his niece Anara Grummert. Whom he loved deeply, and who will miss him immeasurably.
