Patrick E. Bones

Patrick Edward Bones, age 74 of St. Paul, passed away on March 16, 2026 in Woodbury, MN.

Pat was born in St. Peter, MN to Edward P. Bones and Dorothy (Krosche) Bones. He was raised in Le Sueur, and was a Merit Scholar in high school. He loved music, singing and playing guitar in several rock bands in high school. After graduating from Mankato State University, Pat moved to St. Paul and worked most of his career in IT for the State of Minnesota in several areas, most notably the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. He was a lifelong Twins fan and even served as president of the Twin Cities Sports Collectors Club. He is well known as an extremely knowledgable baseball fan and collector. He also enjoyed playing on a state employee softball league for many years. Pat also adopted golden retrievers and this became a source of joy in his later years.

Pat is survived by his brother Jim of Minneapolis, MN and his sister Wendy (Darrell Gantt) of Spokane, WA. Preceding him in death are his parents and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A graveside service/interment will be held at St. Anne’s Cemetery at a later date. The family expresses its appreciation to Brighton Hospice and the staff of Prelude Homes for their compassionate care.
