Patricia Rae (Walters) Allison

Pat passed away peacefully on February 3, 2024 in Eden Prairie, MN after a long battle with chronic pain due to arthritis and autoimmune disease. Pat was born to Bernie and Mabel Walters in Valley City, North Dakota on April 26th, 1948, the youngest of ten children. She attended high school in Valley City where she met and was married to Michael W. Ranum from 1965 to 1979. They had 2 daughters; Michele Ranum of Hastings and Kate (Joe) Wenc of Eden Prairie. She was then married to Charles Allison of Park Rapids from 1980 to 1990.

While she loved growing up in North Dakota, Pat lived most of her life in Northern Minnesota. She enjoyed having her own insurance agency in Park Rapids for many years and then retiring in Menahga. She moved to Eden Prairie in 2017 to be closer to her daughters as her health declined. She enjoyed the freedom to spend time with her grandsons Stefan and Isaac Wenc as they grew up and she was blessed to have seen them both complete college and begin their professional careers.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents Bernie and Mabel, brothers Jim, Bill and John, sisters Jenny and Mary Ann and first husband Michael Ranum. She is survived by her daughters Michele and Kate (Joe), grandsons Stefan and Isaac, siblings Betty, Edward, Bernie and Dorothy, second husband Charles Allison and many nieces and nephews.

Her daughters will place her ashes in Valley City, North Dakota per her wishes in the spring.
