Patricia (Patty) Lois Niedzielski

October 30, 1960 – July 31, 2023

St Paul, MN, USA

Patricia (Patty) Lois Niedzielski of Burnsville, MN peacefully passed away on Monday, July 31, 2023 at Our Lady of Peace Hospice in St Paul, while holding her daughter’s hand.

Patty was born on October 30, 1960, the sixth of nine children. She grew up in a loving family that enjoyed going camping, fishing, boating and taking family road trips. Patty attended Humboldt High School, Dakota County Technical College and Rasmussen Business College. She graduated in 1989 and worked as an Administrative Assistant. She found her calling working at Unity of the Valley Church in Burnsville for 13 years.

Over the last few years, and after many misdiagnoses, it was discovered that she had chronic Lyme disease, presenting itself as ALS. She fought long and hard to recover, but it was time for her to continue onto her next journey. We are grateful for the time she had to be able to say goodbye to many family members and friends during her last few weeks.

Patty was a proud single mother to Danielle and Fadel, and will always be known for her “Friday Fun Nights” that included movies (scary) and junk food with her children and anyone else who showed up. She also enjoyed traveling, concerts, and many Reggae cruises.

Patty is preceded in death by her parents, William and Marjorie Niedzielski, and her brother Peter Niedzielski. She is survived by her daughter Danielle, of Florida, her son Fadel of Minneapolis, her 7 remaining siblings: Rebecca Niedzielski, Deborah Dinneen, Barbara Hall, Paul (Carol) Niedzielski, Maria Napier, Anita (Ward) Emerson, and Donna Olsen, and many beloved nieces, nephews, friends and extended family members.

She will be dearly missed by everyone who’s heart she touched.

A celebration of life will be held at Sam Napier’s house: 268 Curtice St. W, St Paul, MN 55107 on Friday, August 4th, 2023 at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, cards can be mailed to this address.
