Olmer Leroy Larson, 84 of Bagley, Minnesota passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at his home.

Olmer was born in Shevlin, MN on July 18, 1938, to Gilbert and Martha (Strandlien) Larson. He attended Shevlin school and graduated from Bagley High School. Olmer married Melba Theis and they welcomed five children.

Olmer worked for the Clearwater County Highway Department as an engineering assistant. Olmer was a member of the Bagley Fire Department. He always enjoyed returning for special gatherings and retirements at the fire department.

Olmer enjoyed many years of deer hunting with family and friends. He was an avid sports fan, always watching and reading about the Gophers, Vikings, Twins, Timberwolves, Lynx, and Wild. Through the years he continued keeping up with Bagley High School sports. Olmer enjoyed golfing and a good game of cards. Family was important to Olmer and he always enjoyed “fellowship” with his wife, kids, their spouses, and grandchildren.

Olmer is survived by his five children – Son - Brian (Melissa) Larson of Duluth, MN; Son - Kelly (Lisa) Larson of Albertville, MN; Daughter – Karen (Jeff) Jones of Ham Lake, MN; Margo (Charles) Barnes of Burnsville, MN; Son – Darin Larson of Bemidji, MN; his grandchildren - Brianna, Michelle, Megan, Kyle, Jamie, Tyler, Erik, Michelle, and Aaron; and five great grandchildren. Sister-in-law - Rose Larson of Wilton, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Olmer was preceded in death by his wife Melba; his brothers Harry (Myrna), Marlow (Arielle), and Arlie and one sister Thelma (Dale).

Olmer will be missed.
