NormaJeanne Ellis

NormaJeanne Ellis (82) Andover, died peacefully on May 18th 2023 surrounded by family.

NormaJeanne was born in Pontiac Michigan but grew up in Litchfield MN and graduated from Litchfield High School. She graduated from the University of Minnesota in science and education. For many years she worked in the Minneapolis School System before moving to Bar None Residential School in St Francis. NormaJeanne’s last years of teaching were leading the New Horizon program in Minneapolis. New Horizons program aimed to help teenage mothers to complete their education.

With retirement NormaJeanne was able to devote more time to her many interests. Always a voracious reader she was now able to travel more and to enjoy the food and lifestyle of many different cultures as well as fostering her love of the natural environment. NormaJeanne also found time, over many years, to be a dog breeder, poodles, schnauzers and schnoodles being her favorites.

She is preceded in death by parents Norman and Gwendolyn Olson.

She is survived by husband John; children Betheny Wyandt (Rusty), Derek Anderson (Tracey); grandchildren Nichole Schally (Jake) and Bryce Wyandt (Kristina); and great-grandchildren Isla, Isabelle and Henry; siblings Paul Olson(Sheila), Barbra Elem (John) and Margaret Shipp and many more family and friends.
