Obituary
Natalie Faith Sly, who in recent years went by “Selenite” or “Sin” and used they/them pronouns, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026, in the comfort of their home.
Natalie was born on August 18, 2002, in Beloit, Wisconsin, to Roger Sly and Tracey (Zepplin) Sly.
In recent years, Selenite/Sin was living in Minneapolis with their two beloved cats. You could often find them on TikTok or curled up with a good book. They were incredibly funny and could joke around like no one else, yet they were never afraid to speak their mind when needed. Their crystal collection was something they held dear, and their love of art stayed with them throughout their life. They were a talented artist from childhood to their final days. Most of all, they had a deep love for animals, especially Hades, Remington, Spite, and Spirit.
They are survived by their parents, Roger Sly (Kellie) and Tracey Sly (John Saladino); their sisters, Ashley Korbol and Veronica Sly; their half-brother, Casey Schoonover; their step-siblings, Blu Pierce (Stephanie), Catie Kuhnle (TJ), and Karl Saladino (Kaylee); Brother-in-law Kody Korbol; Grandmothers Darlene (Zirbel) Zepplin and Patricia (Davis) Sly and two nephews. They also leave behind several aunts, uncles, cousins, and their cherished cats, Spite and Spirit, as well as dear friends Bri, Angelica, Liberty, and Blue.
They were preceded in death by their grandfathers, Wally Zepplin and Harold Sly; Step-grandmothers Janet Dobson and Phylis Saladino; their great-grandparents; and their beloved companions, Remington, Ravi and Rocko.
A celebration of Natalie’s life will be held on February 28, 2026, at The Birch Room in Beloit WI. Time: 12:00-3:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, their family asks that donations be made to your local animal shelter in their honor.
