Nancy Lee Henderson, 66, of Cass Lake, MN passed away peacefully at her home with her loved ones near Thursday, March 23, 2023 after a long three year battle with cancer.

Nancy was born November 3, 1956 in Fosston, MN, the daughter of Elmer and Alice Johnson. She was very fond of her early years being a fun loving, hard working character working as a farm hand along side her beloved family. She often shared stories of her favorite lead cow Bessie.

She married Kevin Henderson June 9, 2007. She maintained a career as a Para Professional at the Cass Lake Bena School District. She retired from school in 2019 after serving 36 years. She always held a special place in her heart for her students.

After retirement she enjoyed doing odd jobs like cleaning cabins and crafting. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family and friends, but nothing could make her glow like her grandchildren.

Those she leaves behind, her husband, Kevin Henderson, 3 sisters, Gloria (Bennett) Osmondson, Jewel (Dave) Graves, and Joyce (Mike) Broden, 3 children, Andy (Monica) Gehrke, Cassie (Jesse) Tibbetts, and Kerry Kellar, 8 grandchildren, Malichi, Aidan, Anbrianna, Alanna Gehrke, Scott Gehrke, Elijah Tibbetts, and Natalya and Oliver Posner, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Those who greet her in heaven are her mother and father, niece Erin Olson, nephew Jeffery Graves, and great nephew David Haimen.
