The Present Game Organizer

Nancy J Libra, Age 68

Nancy was born in St Paul, MN to Anton and Eleanor Libra on October 1, 1952. She passed away on March 23, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents and sibling Dennis. Nancy is survived by sister in law Kate, siblings David(Mary), Janet(Jim), Judy(Rolf), Mary Kay, Paul(Barb) and many nieces and nephews.

Beloved Daughter, Sister, Aunt and Friend. Nancy lived life on her own terms. She was generous with her gifts, her compliments and her suggestions. She was the family organizer and always had great ideas for how to make things come together and be fun.

Nancy attended Maternity of Mary Grade School, Archbishop Murray High School, and the U of M, where she made lifelong friends at each place. Nancy had a long career including Montgomery Wards, Bethesda Hospital and the U.S. Post Office. She valued the friendships she made at those places.

Most of all, Nancy enjoyed her retirement and she did that well.

Nancy was well read and enjoyed learning new things. She participated in activities she liked and could be a competitive trivia or other game player with her many friends at her apartment complex.

Nancy was a picky eater but if you made something she liked, she let you know you could make it for her anytime and she often put in requests. She was well known for her quirky sense of humor in her Christmas cards, and she would share them with relatives, old neighbors and friends who waited to see her next greeting.

Nancy had a seemingly endless supply of her graduation pictures, which she gave out on Christmas ornaments, coasters and assorted trinkets year after year. Our family, and her friends will be finding items with her face on them around our homes for years to come.

Nancy liked to travel to new places. She would research for hours to find the best drives to take or the most unique scenery and interesting places to see. Few could organize a better family gathering, camping trip or game than Nancy. She was "that" person who makes you look at things in a new, fun and different way. The world lost a truly generous soul in Nancy and her unique humor and way of experiencing life will be greatly missed.

Nancy had excellent care from Dr. Thompson and her care coordinator Sue and many other staff at the M Health University system, Health Partners Clinics and Hospice and Regions, and we thank them all.

A family memorial gathering will be held at a future date. Any Memorials preferred to Feeding America.
