Myrna Whitcomb, 85, Park Rapids, MN passed away Friday, November 1, 2024 at her home.

Myrna was born in Park Rapids February 7, 1939 to Arthur and Ethel (Sutliff) Andress. She grew up on a farm in White Oak Township and attended Akeley High School, graduating in 1957. She attended Pillsbury Bible College for 2 years and transferred to Tennessee Temple College in Chattanooga, TN and graduated in 1961.

Myrna married Frank Whitcomb September 1, 1961 in Park Rapids. They were blessed with two greatly loved children, LuCinda (Olson) and Jonathan Whitcomb. They lived in Sioux Falls, SD, North Carolina, Duluth and the Twin Cities as Frank served as pastor in various congregations. Myrna and Frank retired to Park Rapids in 2001.

Myrna is survived by her children, Cindy Olson and Jonathan Whitcomb; grandsons, David Whitcomb and Reese Olson; great grandchildren, Jasper and Aubrey, all of Park Rapids.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Frank Whitcomb; parents, Arthur and Ethel Andress; brother, Charles Andress; sisters, June Hemp, Romona Van Canneyt, Charlotte Staehnke, and Virginia Hensel.

Funeral Services for Myrna

First Baptist Church 909 8th St W, Park Rapids, MN 56470, USA

Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. A visitation will also be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Park Rapids.
