Dad, Grandpa, Friend, Storyteller, Sailor, Husband and BFF to Norma for 70 Years

Milford was born in Austin, MN to Reverend O. M. and Mabel (nee Heidenburg) Langehough. His father was a Lutheran minister with churches in several small towns, and his mother was a homemaker and writer. His older siblings Inez and Phillip set responsible examples for him, but he found ways to have fun.

His brother Phillip (left) served in Patton's Army in the Corps of Engineers and followed the D-Day invasion forces through France. Mabel was relieved when both her sons returned from the war. She had lost her brother Arvid in France in WWI.
