life story

A comedic spirit gone too soon.

"All the art of living lies in a fine mingling of letting go and holding on." - Havelock Ellis

He carried a burden until it carried him away and now all that is left are memories of 'what could have been'.

JR was born a hopeful, curious, and like so many - a stubborn boy. One who yearned for experience and adventure. A lot of which led him down as interesting of paths as they would dangerous ones.

But at such a young age her took on the heavy price of his parents own short comings, and it was a price he kept paying even the world stopped asking it of him. Even unto himself.

Man is not meant to be an island, but JR's life and his loss lives now an example of what can come to a man who makes an island of himself, whether by habit or by choice.

In the time that he was here, he loved his nieces and nephews as best as he could while waging his own wars in silence and absence. We believe that that love, however limited it may have seemed at times, took everything left within him to provide, and was always more than he seemed to love himself. And that is how we will remember him.

Loving beyond himself, and even when it was hardest to do.
