Michael Carlson

March 8, 1952 – May 7, 2026

Michael “Mike” Carlson, of St. Paul passed away on May 7, 2026, after a long illness.

He was 74.

Mike was a talented musician and skilled carpenter who remodeled many homes

and was always willing to lend a helping hand to family, friends, and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Patricia Carlson, and his

sister, Karyn Sandstrom.

Mike is survived by his nieces, Wendy (Steve) Tremblay and Anna Sandstrom; great-

nephews Oliver and Bennett Trembly; his aunt, Mary Cullen McKeown; and many

cousins.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the caring people at Cerenity Senior Care at

Humbolt, Dellwood Gardens Assisted Living and HealthPartners’s Hospice program

for the kind and compassionate care provided throughout his illness.

A committal service will be held Friday, May 22 at 11:00 am at Union Cemetery in

Maplewood.

In place of flowers, if you wish, memorial contributions may be made in Mike’s name

to Community of Saints School, 335 Hurley Street E., West St. Paul 55118.
