Loving Wife, Mother & Grandmother

Mavis (Yvonne) Smith age 91, of Woodbury MN went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday October 31, 2024 at Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater MN. She was born June 4 1933 in Clearbrook MN, to Archie and Edith Larsen.

Yvonne loved to serve the Lord by serving others at her home church Souls Harbor Calvary Temple. She and Bob served for many years in the children’s Sunday School department and Yvonne loved to host and coordinate baby and wedding showers for her church family.

Yvonne married Robert (Bob) Smith on August 18, 1956. The two were each other’s lifelong companions and friends. They were blessed with 4 children: LaRae, Barb, Tony and Terri.

Before she was married Yvonne worked as a key puncher for Northwestern National Life Insurance and later in data entry at Sandoz Nutrition.

She adored her children and grandchildren and would do anything for them.

Yvonne is survived by her husband Robert (Bob), daughter LaRae (Jim) Crawmer, daughter Barbara (John) Bentley, son Anthony (Robyn) Smith, daughter Terri (Dan) Swengel, and sister Joyce Larson.

She was proceeded in death by father Archie Larsen and mother Edith Larsen.

Celebration of Life will take place at 11am with visitation starting at 9:30am on Saturday November 23, 2024 at Hope Community Church 19951 Oswald Farm Rd. Rogers MN 55374.
