Maurine “Mo” Henderson

Maurine “Mo” Henderson, age 60, passed away on May 16, 2022, after a long battle of several serious health conditions. She was born in Mankato MN, graduated high school in Mankato MN, and moved to Minneapolis many years ago. She loved fiercely, fought hard, and will be deeply missed. She was the youngest of 5 children. Maurine came from a family of chefs and showed her love through cooking for others. To her (like her mother) she thought just about anything could be resolved with a home cooked meal surrounded by family she loved. She loved music and was a former pianist, but she had a passion for saving animals. However, her greatest joy was spending time with her daughter, family, and being “MoMo” for her favorite little (grand) boys.

She is preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Eleanore Henderson and her brother Dennis Henderson. She is survived by her beloved daughter Halla, brother Mike, two sisters, several nieces and nephews, her significant other Bruce Pelkey, and the Pelkey family.

She will be deeply missed by all those that she has left behind. Our hearts are comforted knowing she is not in pain and is finally at peace!

Funeral services will be held on June 15, 2022 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1621 University Ave NE, Minneapolis, MN 55413. Visitation at 10:00 am; Service 11:00 am; Luncheon at 12:30 pm -511 Central Ave NE, MPLS, MN
