Mary Louise D’allesantro Metcalf, 76, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away surrounded by the love of her family.

She built a life centered on connection, generosity, and care for others. She was known for her vibrant spirit and her ability to bring people together, whether through a shared meal, a conversation, or a helping hand when it was needed most.

She worked as a nurse in her early years until she followed her passion for food and hospitality, opening a deli and restaurant and catering parties. Cooking was one of her greatest joys, and her kitchen was often filled with laughter, warmth, and the people she loved.

She had a deep love for spending time with her family, traveling, and socializing. She found joy in building relationships and creating meaningful experiences, and she had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and valued.

She is survived by her daughter, Kelsey Pass; her son, Gavin Metcalf; her son-in-law, Andrew Pass; her daughter-in-law, Maisa Metcalf; her granddaughter, Sophia Metcalf; her partner, Mario Burkhalter; and her former husband, Darrell Metcalf. She leaves behind a wide circle of family and friends who will miss her dearly.

She will be remembered for her kindness, her generosity, her love of life, and the countless ways she showed up for the people around her.
