Mary Hammell, age 71, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at her home on October 12, 2024. Born on August 25, 1953, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Mary dedicated her life to her family, with her grandchildren being her pride and joy. Known for her warmth, kindness, and loving spirit, she leaves a lasting impact on those around her. She enjoyed garage sailing, embroidering, and spending time with her loved ones.

The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the cancer center at Regions Hospital for their skill, compassion, and care during Mary's cancer journey, as well as to the Health Partners Hospice team for their guidance and support in her final days.

Mary is survived by her husband, Thomas; her children, Tonia and Erika (Ryan); and her grandchildren, Jory, Nash, Nova, Paige and Auto. She also leaves behind 11 siblings, lots of nieces & nephews and many dear friends who will miss her tremendously. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Gladys Erikson.

In accordance with Mary’s wishes, there will be no memorial service, and the family will celebrate her life privately.
