Mary Ellen Todd Jones, 75, passed away on January 4th, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of over half a century of marriage and a family that adored her. With her family beside her, and her two children each holding her hand, she transitioned peacefully from this life.

​A woman who truly came into her own in the second half of her life, Mary Ellen was known for her vibrant, outgoing personality. She loved nothing more than weekends spent dancing and singing karaoke at Danny’s Place, surrounded by a host of friends who became like family. Though her health declined in recent years, she never lost her love for people, forming special bonds with the nurses and CNAs who cared for her.

She was the devoted wife of Edward Jones for over half a century. Above all, she lived for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the absolute light of her life.

She is reunited in heaven with her parents, Acy Todd and Ellen Crib; her daughter, Sandra Jones; her siblings, Billy Faye Tyler, Lila Ruth, and Paul Todd; and her grandson, Mikey Altman.

​Her memory will be forever cherished by her husband, Edward Jones; her children, Sarah Causey (Joey) and Charles Jones; her sisters, Ila Mae Williamson and Barbara Ann Pinto; and her brothers, Levon Todd and Gene Todd. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Amber Altman and Blake Altman, as well as her great-grandchildren and many dear friends and family.

Mary Ellen is now free from the struggle of failing health, surely finding a new stage to sing on and a floor to dance on once again.
