A loving mother, grandma, and best friend

On September 1st after a tough battle with cancer, Martha "Janie" Click went home to be with the Lord and her husband, David Click. She is survived by her son; Brian Willis. Her sister; Linda Chenault. Her grandchildren; Darian Plumb (M. Lance Plumb), Christopher, Brendan, Kendall, and Morgan Willis. A loving mother, grandma, and amazing friend, she will be missed. The impact her loss has had on those closest to her is deep, a tribute to how amazing and loved she was.

Janie was a light to everyone who met her. Headstrong in her beliefs, decades ahead of her time, and so funny. Even in the end, she found a way to make you laugh. Family members, friends, and even nurses enjoyed sparring with her on all things. Despite battling late stage cancer, she refused help if she could help it. She lived alone, still drove herself around especially to get breakfast from Bojangles. Did you know she drove herself to nearly all of her radiation treatments? For the final two weeks she allowed others to help her but that's just who she was. She didn't want to put anyone out but she would put herself out to help anyone. She was so selfless and I don't think she truly knew how much everyone appreciated her and all the ways she made everyone's life a whole lot better for knowing her.

Each day was a gift of knowing her. She loved thrift shopping, being outside in the fresh air, animals (she treated her granddaughters cat like a grandchild, calling to only ask about him sometimes!) and her family. She was your biggest fan and your toughest ally. The world is darker without her here with us and while time helps heal all wounds, this one is deep. Please keep her family in your prayers as they navigate the hard days ahead learning to live without her.
