Marlyce Mae Halvorson, 69, of Bagley, Minnesota died on Friday, June 24, 2022 at the Sanford Bagley Medical Center.

Marlyce was born on January 24, 1953 in Fosston, MN to Donald and Grace (Ziegler) Milton. She graduated from Bagley High School in 1971. She married Robert H. Halvorson on March 20, 1980 in Bagley and was a loving and supportive wife. She always made sure Bob was taken care of.

Over the years, Marlyce worked as a house cleaner with a good friend, as a clerk at Kubiak’s, and as a cook at the Mileage Truck Stop, Angelina’s, Crandall’s Sports, and lastly at the Bagley Elementary School, where she retired from in 2020.

Marlyce loved to watch sports, especially cheering for the Twins and Vikings. She loved to play Bingo every Friday night and go to the casino to gamble with her friend, Donna.

Marlyce looked forward to lake days at Itasca with family and enjoyed campfires with her sister and husband on a Saturday night.

In her down time, Marlyce loved to watch Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. She played crossword puzzles and read many books, including every Danielle Steele novel. She enjoyed evening car rides with Bob every night and listening to Barry Manilow.

Marlyce had a big heart and always included everyone. She was a friendly person and often went out of her way to help others. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved each one with all her heart.

Marlyce is survived by her husband, Robert Halvorson of Bagley, MN; her grandchildren, John Glime of St. Cloud, MN, Kelsey (Ross) Johnson of Blackduck, MN, Hayley Glime of St. Joseph, MN; her great grandkids, Jaxton and Maxwell Glime of St. Cloud, Bentley, Lauryn, McKynlie, and Jayla Johnson of Blackduck, MN, and Joslyn Glime of St. Joseph, MN; her sister, Susan Iverson of Bagley, MN; her son-in-law, John D. Glime; her sister-in-law, Julie Milton; her nephews, Keith (Renee) Iverson and Clyde Milton; her great nieces and nephews, Tal (Jessica) Iverson, Daytona and Demi Iverson, and Brantley and Maci Milton; her special cousin, Denise (Dennis) Milton; her special friend, Donna (Bob) Beck; and many other loved family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dawn (Milton) Glime; her parents, Donald and Grace Milton; her brother, Clyde Milton; her brother-in-law, LeRoy Iverson; and her special friend, Linda Alexander.
