Mark William Shorter, 84, of Becida, MN; formerly of St. Cloud, MN passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023 at the Heritage Manor in Park Rapids, MN.

Mark was born on March 28, 1939 in St. Paul. He married Maren Solum on Sept. 25, 1957. For many years he worked as a teacher for Dist. 742- St. Cloud Schools. He taught at the Vo-Tech College. He was a real estate agent for Val Henning Reality.

He also worked as a paramedic for Murphy Ambulance. He was part of the Civil Air Patrol where he attained the rank of major. He volunteered as a Weather Warn officer. He enjoyed being a ham radio operator, a hunter safety instructor and a Rockwood Township board member.

He is survived by his spouse – Maren of Becida, MN; his 3 children - Mark (Sara) Shorter of Ramsey, MN; Theron (Cheryl) Shorter of Albertville, MN; Maren (Tim) Johnson of Becida, MN. Several grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
