Adoring father and Papa

John Mark Rudloff, known as Mark, and more lovingly, Dad, “Atchins,” and Papa, succumbed to his lifelong battle with depression the week of April 19, 2026 in Apple Valley, MN at the young age of 63. He leaves behind his only beloved daughter, Heather, his son-in-law Doug Hanson, and three cherished granddaughters - Brinton Delaney, Marla Kay, and Desi Patricia. He also leaves behind three younger brothers, David (Thom) Rudloff, Robert Rudloff, and Peter (Madelynn) Rudloff. He was proceeded in death by his father, Elmer “Rudy” Rudloff (2012) and his mother, Patricia Thau Rudloff (2025).

He so loved spending time with his grandchildren at parks, gardens, and showing them the beautiful scenery of Colorado. In 2025 he was able to show them Estes Park in the autumn and create lifelong memories for them to hold forever.

About Mark

Mark was born the as the first child to Rudy & Pat on September 9th, 1962 in St. Louis Missouri. His mom told stories about her mother-in-law taking 4 buses from rural Missouri to come visit and help out when he was first born.

He achieved so much in his life to note but he loved being a devoted Papa to his three granddaughters most of all. He was smart, sometimes witty, and had an unmistakable sense of humor.

We love him and miss him dearly and are devastated by this loss to our family.
