life story
A son, brother, father, friend, lover of the outdoors, and king of daredevils
My dad
My dad loved life and lived it hard, so much so he thought he was invincible, boy he sure had me convinced. He had a stronger will to live than anyone I've known. Despite his chair he made the most of life and stayed positive and upbeat when most people would crumble, myself included.
So many times he went into the hospital due to complications related to his spinal cord injury and survived, even when the doctors didn't think he was going to make it. I really thought this was one of those times. I'm grateful he lived so much longer than many people and doctors expected.
I just can't believe he's gone. I'm so glad I could be by his side in his final moments. I only hope I end up being even half the fun loving, charismatic, smart, witty, amd fearless adventurer he was.
