Marilyn L. Risnes (Neitzert)

life story

Marilyn lived a life of Joy, excitement, adrenaline and discovery.

Marilyn was born in Huron SD. Graduated Valedictorian from Staples High School. That summer she attended classes and received her teaching certification. In the Fall she taught in a one room rural classroom in Winona, MN. That was the beginning of her life long teaching career. Even taught in India one summer. Finally retiring from Minneapolis Public Schools in the early 1980's. She never stopped learning even after achieving her Phd. The last classes I remember her attending was for cake decorating, in her mid 70's.

She was an amazing woman and an inspiration to many! She will me missed immensely.
