Marian Ida VandePutte

About Marian

Marian was born to Peter and Ida (Boncquet) Dieken near Green Valley, Minnesota. On June 6, 1946, she and Lester VandePutte were united in holy matrimony. They were blessed with seven children, two of whom preceded her in death; sons Joseph and Francis. Also preceded in death by great-granddaughter Isabella Conneran.

She is survived by her five daughters: Kathleen, Alyce, Carolynn, Marjorie and Donna Jo and 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Marian was a lay member of the Schoenstatt Order, the Sweet Adelines and was active in the Extension Club. As a farmwife, Marian especially enjoyed sewing and gardening and was actively involved with her Catholic Faith at Holy Redeemer Church and school in Marshall.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., at the church. Interment will take place at St. Clotilde Catholic Cemetery in Green Valley.
