life story
A dreamer, a giver, a goofball at heart.
My mom was a force. She loved so deeply, and she cared so much. She was the life of the party. And she was brilliant. I can't think of anything she wasn't good at. Need help with a complex math equation? She was on it. Looking for the etymology of a word? She was your person.
She'd studied Greek and Latin. She was a spatial whiz (never seen anyone be able to design a space, or even pack things into a space as efficiently and smartly as her). She had a green thumb, and grew the best, happiest veggies I've ever seen. She was a lover of the great outdoors, and enjoyed camping.
She loved to sing. I'll miss the lyrical sound of her voice. I'll miss the little notes she left me, the voicemails filled with some exciting tidbit. I'll miss telling her my own geeky insights; we both relished in learning and sharing with each other. I'll miss watching football and whooping with her over every single amazing play. I'll miss her devotion to her 2 cats, and her love for all creatures. I'll miss her passion for mother earth. I'll miss her compassion for everyone; she was especially a champion of those who had nobody in their corner. She taught me to see the beauty in everyone.
She was one of those people that made friends every single place she went. People gravitated to her. She loved to laugh and hearing that laugh was magic. She made everyone smile. Growing up we always had so many folks at our table during the holidays because she would invite anyone who maybe didn't have a place to be.
Margaret endured a lot over the years. She never really caught a break. But she was a fighter, and she never gave up. For many years she struggled with illness, and she was in a lot of pain. There is comfort knowing she is in a better place.
Margaret is survived by her daughter Krista, granddaughter Zinnia; sisters, Renee, Marie; brothers, Keith, Tony, John; step-mother, JoAnn Beier.
She was preceded in death by her parents Eugene and Iola; siblings, Rita, Priscilla, Louise, Michael, Paul, Dean and Jim.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date; I will update that when time/date is confirmed.
