Maggie May

Maggie Teal (Margaret Ann, nee Ratzlaff), loving wife, sister and friend, passed away on August 26, 2022 at age 72.

Maggie was born in Duluth, MN in 1950, and moved with her family to Bloomington, MN in 1955 where she graduated from Kennedy Sr. High in 1968.

After graduation, Maggie worked at Control Data where she met the love of her life, Timothy J. Teal, whom she married in 1970. Maggie and Tim settled in Hastings, MN, a community she loved, where Maggie resided until her passing.

Maggie loved Tim, her dogs (Libby and Elsa), her nieces and nephews, plants, knitting, painting her nails, cooking, butterflies, Mick Jagger and Rock n’ Roll music, Motown and especially Diana Ross and the Supremes and The Queen - Aretha Franklin!

Maggie enjoyed every opportunity to chat, smile and make new friends. She touched many lives throughout her lifetime on earth and will be deeply missed.

Maggie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tim; mother, Doris Blomquist (Ratzlaff, nee Engelking); father, Harvey C. Ratzlaff; stepfather, Arthur Blomquist; and brothers, Harvey W. Ratzlaff, and Jeffrey Ratzlaff.

She is survived by her siblings: Jan Jensen, Judy Ratzlaff, Chuck Ratzlaff, Kristofer Ratzlaff (Debbie) and Denise Ratzlaff; sister-in-law Karen Ratzlaff; stepmother Gladys Ratzlaff, and her many beloved nieces and nephews.

Maggie

Maggie was full of life and enjoyed making friends where ever she went. Known for her bright beautiful smile and gorgeous long blonde hair, everyone was welcome to stop in and chat. The centerpoint of her kitchen was her printers box and all the special items she filled it with.

Maggie and Tim, Libby and Elsa

True story - poor Tim suffered appendicitis and required surgery the day before the wedding. He had to be liberated for several hours from the hospital, by wheel chair, to attend his own wedding! And yes, they had to bring him back!!

Another true story - Maggie’s cousin Karen of Eau Claire was heard by Aunt Norma telling her friends that Tim had to have his independence taken out!!!

Tim was the love of Maggie's life and he doted on her. They traveled and enjoyed many friendships. Unfortunately Tim passed at age 43 in 1987 and Maggie missed him to the end.

Maggie and Tim loved Libby and Elsa and cherished them.

Family

Maggie was the eldest girl of a large family. She loved her family, especially her many nieces and nephews. Some even took their first steps at her house!
