life story

Marcus Westley Christianson

Marcus Westley Christianson was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on October 27th, 1988 to parents, Ty Christianson and Stacey Bjelland (d. 2022). He was a graduate of Simley High School in Inver Grove Heights. Marcus was a resident of Elk River, however, he had been living in Le Center with his dad and younger brother at the time of his passing.

Marcus loved spending time with his son, Andre. Both of them share passions in frisbee golf, fishing, and video games (particularly Madden), which brought out the competitive side of both of them. When it came to football, Marcus was the biggest Dallas Cowboys fan you would ever meet - a pride clearly shown in nearly everything he would wear. He also had a love for snowboarding, which stemmed from trips up north with his mom and her partner, Greg.

His most recent work had been in landscaping, with Urban Landworks based in Bloomington. Due to the travel distance, Marcus had aspirations to start his own landscape business covering the Elk River and surrounding areas. Prior to this, he was a long-time employee of Von Hanson's Meats. This line of work helped him greatly in becoming quite the pitmaster and chef. He was the one everyone usually turned to when it came to cooking and slicing the Thanksgiving turkey or Christmas ham.

He passed away on October 20th, surrounded by loved ones. One part of a large family, Marcus was a loving father, son, grandson, brother, cousin, nephew, and friend. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
