A valued member of the community

Maei Perea of Farmington New Mexico left this earth quietly on April 9th 2025 after a life-long battle with her health.

In her final days, Maei was surrounded by the people who loved her most, sharing stories, laughter, and memories that brought comfort and peace.

She leaves behind her children, Dedra Perea and Butch Tate; her stepchildren, Nikki and Cassidy Wells, and their families — all of whom brought her endless pride and joy.

Maei was welcomed into the next life by those who went before her — her parents, David and Courtney Wells; her grandparents; and her beloved great-grandson, Henry Tate.

In honor of the care that made such a difference in her life, the family asks that instead of flowers, donations be made to your local rehabilitation facilities. Without the compassionate support of the Sante Center in Mesa, Arizona, Maei would not have had the comfort, dignity, and quality of life she so deserved in her later years.
