Lynn Raymond Davis

Lynn Raymond Davis passed away on August 8, 2024.

He was born to Melba and Glenn on September 15, 1945. Lynn was always incredibly proud of his hometown of Commerce City, Colorado. Any “short cut” he took was inevitably a ploy to take a sightseeing tour of Commerce City.. Some of his fondest memories of growing up there took place at Adams City High School. He was a proud alumnus and enjoyed going to reunions and gathering with classmates at any opportunity over the 61 years since his graduation. Lynn went on to earn an Associates of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Metropolitan State College.

Lynn played sports at each of the schools he attended and had a particular fondness for baseball. When he stopped playing he turned his attention to supporting his favorite team – the Dodgers – though he would also cheer on the Rockies.

Lynn wore many hats throughout his career. He was a teacher, he worked for the Mile High Kennel Club, he sold cars and drove a semi truck.Lynn also had a number of impressive talents outside of work. He was a prolific gardener, he was proud of the remodeling projects he did around his home, he was an avid reader and could recall lines from some of his favorite poems at the drop of a hat.

He will be remembered for his extensive knowledge of literature, his passion for baseball, his love of fishing, his affinity for Elvis, his ability to make new friends anywhere he went and his generous nature.
