About Lyle
Lyle was a dynamic and talented musician with an unmatched passion. He would frequently surprise friends and family with an impromptu “Jam Session”, and could play just about anything on the guitar.
He enjoyed his career with Cummins Inc. (Onan) as an electrical engineer where he worked on design of electronics for generators. He often told stories about his projects far beyond retirement.
Aside from playing guitar, Lyle could be found out on the golf course, putzing around in the yard, or hanging out in the garage. He always had his dachshunds, Rocky and Boo Boo, by his side.
Lyle and Jenny wintered in Mission, Texas and had many friends at Lemon Tree Estates, where they could be found playing music from their deck or the rec hall for all to enjoy.
They spent the summers in Crosslake, Minnesota enjoying life living on their own private bay. He took pride in being the captain of the ship and bringing his grandchildren out fishing at all the best spots. He also could point out all of the houses that belonged to celebrities, and knew the lakes better than anyone else.
“If We Never Meet Again This Side Of Heaven"
If we never meet again this side of heaven
As we struggle through this world and its strife
There's another meeting place somewhere in heaven
By the side of the river of life
Where the charming roses bloom forever
And where separation comes no more
If we never meet again this side of heaven
I will meet you on that beautiful shore
