Lucille Mae Barber, 92, of Bemidji, MN died Monday, January 13, 2025 at the Havenwood Care Center in Bemidji, MN.

She was born on June 2, 1932, the daughter of Lowell and Lillian (Jensen) Hodges in Ft. Collins, CO. She was raised and educated in Ft. Collins, graduating from Ft. Collins High School.

She married Gerald Barber in 1949 in Ft. Collins, CO. In 1979 they moved to Fosston, MN, and were active in the Bethel Assembly of God Church. They managed and lived at the Sand Hill Lake Bible Camp near Fosston for three years. In 1996, they moved to Bemidji, MN.

Lucille worked in the office of Johnson Chiropractic Professionals until her retirement. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, and loved gardening and growing flowers.

She is survived by her: Daughter, Karen (Steven) Ophus of Bemidji, MN,

Grandchildren, Angie (Tony) Koppendrayer of Princeton, MN,

Christie (Tony) Olson of Bemidji, MN,

Scott (Thora) Ophus of Bemidji, MN,

Brian (Leah) Ophus of Bemidji, MN,

Holly Ophus of Seattle, WA,

and 15 Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her; parents, her husband Gerald Barber, daughter Kathie Reimer, son-in-law Marvin Reimer, brother Vernon Hodges, sister Shirley Lacey, and great-grandson Hunter Ophus.

Celebration of Lucille's Life will be held in the Spring of 2025.

Interment will be at the Evergreen Northern Township Cemetery in Bemidji, MN.
