Lorraine Kathrine Anderson passed away peacefully on August 13, 2024. She was 92 years old.

Lorraine was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Lorraine was born in Minneapolis, MN on July 30, 1932 to Algot & Hilda Sword. Lorraine graduated from Roosevelt High School, Minneapolis MN. Lorraine worked as a secretary for Bloomington Public Schools, MN for 28 years

Lorraine was very involved in many activities in her church, she was always working behind-the-scenes getting things done. She loved Jesus and lived every day for Him. Lorraine was devoted to reading her Bible and praying daily.

Lorraine loved to travel and was very adventurous. Lorraine loved gardening, especially her flowers, and she spent hours feeding and watching birds. Her plants have been shared throughout the state and live on in many gardens . Lorraine loved golfing, bowling, and hiking.

Lorraine is survived by her three children, Michael (Gail) Anderson, Paul (Cindy) Anderson and Cyndie (Steve) Iwan.

Lorraine, known as Grandma Lulu to her grandchildren: Mark (Larrissa) Anderson, Steven (Luisa) Anderson, John (Katie) Anderson, Kate (Tony) Holewinski, Laura (Mark) McCord, Ben (Janessa) Iwan, Kristina (Dan) Marti, Eric (Lydia) Iwan, Jeremy Iwan and great grandchildren: Dane, Aria, Knox (Anderson), Maxwell (Anderson), Arrow (Holewinski), Edward, Grace, Johanna (Marti), Behr, Wes (Iwan), Peter and Arietta (Iwan).

Lorraine is also survived by her brother, John Sword and sisters, Jane Galchutt and Ingrid Opheim, and preceded in death by her brother Alvin Sword and Nancy Wallace.

Lorraine was a testimony of her faith in Christ, her love for her family, and caring for others.

A celebration of life service will be held on Monday September 16,2024 at 10am at Grace Community Bible Church, 8748 210th St. W. Lakeville, MN.

Lorraine’s family is grateful for the outpouring of love and support they have received.
