Lorie Kae (Martine) Sorenson, 59, of Bagley, Minnesota died on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at the Sanford Medical Center in Bagley, Minnesota.

Lorie was born on March 9, 1965, in Bagley, Minnesota, the daughter of Roy and Lois (Fredrick) Martine.

Lorie as a child was confirmed at the Clearwater Lutheran Church in Shevlin, Minnesota. She rededicated her life to the Lord and was baptized at Faith Hill Assembly of God Church of Bagley, Minnesota.

Lorie went to elementary school in Shevlin and graduated from Bagley High School in 1983. She attended Nursing School at Northwest Technical College in Bemidji, Minnesota. Lorie married Tim Sorenson on July 3, 1982, in Shevlin, MN. They were blessed with three children, Trent, Tyler and Tiffany. Lorie was a very hard worker and worked at Itasca State Park for 20 years. She worked for Greensview Nursing Home for multiple years and her last job was working at Digikey in Thief River Falls and for the K&K Restaurant in Clearbrook. Lorie loved the holidays and especially Christmas and was known for her professional gift wrapping, and her amazing holiday culinary skill of baking and cooking. Lorie had many hobbies and was always up for a good game of pinnacle with her family. She enjoyed garage saling, shopping with her daughter, doing puzzles, planting flowers, and cherished her time with her grandchildren. Lorie always had a clean house, she enjoyed cooking, and had a delicious home cooked meal prepared for her family on the supper table every night. Lorie was a very warm and welcoming person. She was good to people, and she had a huge heart. She would do anything to help anyone at any time. Her house was open to everyone, and she greeted every person with a smile and tasty hot cooked meal to eat. Family was very important to Lorie. She loved every minute with them, and she had a special beautiful bond with her two precious grandchildren, Tanner and Tayden. They were the apple to her eye. Lorie will be remembered for all her joy and laughter and most of all living life to the fullest.

Lorie is survived by her Husband and companion – Tim Sorenson of Bagley, Minnesota; Sons – Trent Sorenson of Bagley, Minnesota; Tyler Sorenson of Bagley, Minnesota; Daughter – Tiffany (Trent Baker) Sorenson of Bagley, Minnesota. Grandsons – Tanner Baker and Tayden Baker; Mother – Lois Martine of Madison, Wisconsin; Sister – Lisa Martine of Madison, Wisconsin; Sister-in-law – Terri (Kurt) Strandlien of Bagley, Minnesota; Brother-in-law – Todd (Kristi) Sorenson of Bemidji, Minnesota; Sister-in-law -Trudi (Jon) Hovey of Brainerd, Minnesota; Nephews - Cooper and Alex Sorenson of Bemidji, Minnesota; Nephew – Travis Iverson of Clearbrook, Minnesota; Nieces; Lindsey (John) Earnest of Anchorage Alaska; Sara (John) Bjerke of Clearbrook, Minnesota; Brooke Iverson of Clearbrook, Minnesota; Abbey Iverson of Fargo, North Dakota; and Emiley Iverson of Anchorage, Alaska.

Lorie was preceded in death by her father – Roy Martine, Grandmother – Elaine Martine and her Sister LaRae Martine.
