Lori Ann Nigro (née Petersen), age 71, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2026.

Lori will be remembered as a devoted wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She found joy in the simple, beautiful parts of life—tending her garden, cooking for the people she loved, and spending time with Tom at the vineyard that became such a meaningful part of their lives together. A gifted artist, she expressed her creativity through painting and drawing, capturing a world full of color, warmth, and meaning. She loved helping host weddings and celebrations at the vineyard, and was happiest when dancing, gathering with loved ones, and sharing good food, good company, and a glass of wine with family and friends.

Lori was preceded in death by her father, Alan Petersen. She is survived by her mother, Barbara Petersen; her husband, Tom Nigro; her daughters Kelly (Chris) Swenson, Alix (David) Hackman, Samantha (Damian) Steventon, and Kayla (Sam) Gutoske; her grandchildren Crew, Raleigh, Elli, Fischer, Vincent, Beatrix, Finley, Sawyer, and Margot; and her brother Alan (Lisa) Petersen Jr.; as well as many extended family members and dear friends.

Her warmth, generosity, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
