Lois Elaine Fenger was born at home in Underwood Township, Redwood County MN on August 25, 1930 to Bennie & Edna Erickson. She died on June 5, 2024 at the age of 93. She was baptized in the Christian faith on September 21, 1930 at St John Lutheran Church Wood Lake MN. Her sponsors were Mrs. August Jeseritz and Mrs. Ernest Doose. She confirmed her baptismal vows on May 12, 1946 by Pastor G.F. Zimmermann. She attended St. John’s Parochial School.

Lois married Bud (Ewald) on May 1, 1949 at St. John Lutheran Church in Wood Lake MN. The Lord blessed them with 3 children Carolyn, Kenneth and Patricia. Lois was a homemaker, raised her 3 children and later in life did daycare for local families. Lois was a great cook, a baker and could always be found in the kitchen. She loved to fish, camp, garden, craft, and most of all spend time with family & friends. Bud and Lois had many dogs over the years and she fondly remembers Charlie and PJ 1, 2 and 3.

Lois was a faithful member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in North Mankato MN. Bud and Lois cherished the grace of God, given in Jesus the Savior. They loved to read the Bible and their Daily Devotions and looked forward to life in Heaven.

Lois was preceded in death by her Husband Ewald (Bud), Daughter Carolyn, Grand Daughter Heather, Great Grandchildren Emersyn & Kolt, Parents Edna and Bennie, Siblings Bennett and Adelle, and many relatives and friends.

She is survived by children Kenneth and Patricia, Sister in Law Reta, 10 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren and 4 (soon to be 5) Great Great Grandchildren.

SERVICES

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 26, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Peace Lutheran Church, North Mankato, Minnesota. Visitation one hour before, with lunch to follow.

Private Family Interment of Bud and Lois Fenger will be held at a later date.
