life story
A fun-loving Mother, Grandmother, and Friend
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Lois LeFleur, most commonly known by her family as "LoLo", on July 1st, 2025. Lolo was known for her lightheartedness, her independence, and her ability to enjoy the little things in life.
About Lois
Lois was born in Grand Rapids MI on April 20, 1948 to Peter and Jeannette Van Ostrom. She was the youngest of three children, brother David and sister Mary. Lois was the mother of two children, Tommy and Lorrie, and remained in Grand Rapids to raise her children.
Later, Lois made a new home in Florida with her cat Precious, where she would spend the majority of her years. There, she built a meaningful life through her community of work and friends. Her long career with TSA and American Airlines reflected her dependable nature and strong work ethic. Lois formed lasting friendships with colleagues who would become a second family to her.
Holidays were especially close to her heart. Whether it was returning to Michigan or having family visit, she loved nothing more than being surrounded by family-laughing, eating sweet treats, reminiscing, and sharing the simple joys of togetherness. Her zany stories brought joy and laughter to all.
To those who knew her, Lois was a happy go lucky women who found joy in everyday moments. She always made others feel seen, heard, and valued. Her kindness, quiet strength, and generous spirit left a mark on all who were fortunate to share in her life.
Lois LeFleur will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family. Lois is now reunited in Heaven with son Tommy, and is survived by her daughter Lorrie, Son-in-law Troy, and Grandchildren Landen and Audrie. Her story does not end here- it continues in the love she gave, the lives she shaped, and the moments that will never be forgotten.
