Lois Ann Emerson

Age 90, longtime resident of the Twin Cities, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026, preceded in death by her husband, Keith. Lois is survived by her four children, Christine Goforth, Peter (Amy) Vold, Timothy (Mary) Vold, and Melody Vold, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, brother Keith Olsen, and sisters Sharon (Donald) Goldsbury and Barbara Salvesen.

Lois was born on June 12th, 1936, in Wisconsin, to John and Lena Olsen. She married Ingebret Vold, and they raised their four children in Bloomington. The family enjoyed the outdoors, and spent many weekends and longer trips camping across the Upper Midwest.

Lois enjoyed attending church and singing in choir; she fed her wanderlust with the occasional road trip, but loved her life at home. She earned a degree while raising a family, and worked as a caring nurse for many years. She was a devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and will be greatly missed.
