Wife, Mother and at Her Best, a Seeker of the Divine

Linda Teglia Forman was born March 1st, 1954 in Reno, Nevada and passed from this earth on October 23rd, 2024. She was the third child and only daughter to Ruth and Roger Teglia. Our mother graduated from Hug High school, and at 14 she began working for the Chamber of Commerce, which is how she met our dad, Robert Forman on the 4th of July in 1973. The Chamber of Commerce was managing a band for the celebration and she was introduced to our dad, who was in the band. They were married December 7, 1974 in Austin Texas, and traveled around Texas and Nevada performing music. They both sang and she played the bass, while dad played guitar.

Mom was a devoted practitioner of Transcendental Meditation, and our dad joined her in this experience shortly after they met. Spirituality and the journey toward enlightenment was the foundation of their marriage and the family they would eventually create.

After a few years our parents established themselves in Reno, Nevada where mom settled into the role of homemaker. Eventually our parents welcomed three children Andrea 1979, Sara 1982 and Micah 1991.

In Reno, 1984 our parents fulfilled their dream and broke ground on the infamous and unique Granny’s House Recording Studio. On January 17th 1986 was the highly anticipated grand-opening of this Victorian-style Recording studio on the corner of Plumas and Mt. Rose. Parallel to this creation, mom and dad built a matching Victorian home for their family.

Mom was a skilled writer, voice over artist and educator and she helped our dad with his various media productions over the next 20 years. This included copy for commercials, announcing, and writing; including the Preserve America Series.

In 1999 she graduated from the California College of Ayurveda and went on to be an educator and an Ayurvedic practitioner. She enjoyed teaching and helping people.

She wrote her family’s story in her nationally published book Dreaming in Realtime that was released in 2002.

In 2009 both of her daughters married and went on to give her six grandchildren.

She leaves behind Andrea and Joel Santos and their children, Zachariah, Oliver and Kaylani. Sara and John Gracey and their children, Clara, Emma and Willow, and her son Micah Forman.

She was a great storyteller, comforter and will be missed terribly.
